for sometime now, i’ve wanted to download language tapes. i haven’t really had the time or desire, but i feel like i’m wasting my brain listening to music at work. i was consideringbookson tape, and all. but i really like books: the cover design, inner typography, the smell, and basically holdingit and dog-earring the shit out of it.

so my current goal while designing the paper at night is to brush up on spanish and french. i think i will carry this over during my holiday travel.

by the new year, i want to start learning a brand new language. although italian is tempting, i don’t plan on sticking with romance languages. i’m thinking either japanese, mandarin, german, russian or arabic. not sure which one(s) i’ll decide on.
